Business Development Manager, FB Horizon Responsibilities
– Provides businesses solutions to face the tasks of today, as well as the expertise to engineer a path to the future
– Establish meaningful relationships with key ecosystem stakeholders and manage C-suite relationships to deliver mutually beneficial products and services
– Mentor a high-performing team that works cross-functionally to build new ecosystem partnerships for Facebook
– Define, negotiate, and close deals for game development, distribution, publishing, and IP licensing
– Manage strategic partnerships with game publishers and IP licensors
– Operate effectively with external partners ranging from large game publishers and major media companies to small indie developers
– Work closely with internal product managers and producers to support key titles on business and operational issues throughout development and post-launch
– Work cross-functionally with content, marketing, legal, finance, and engineering teams to negotiate deal terms, drive special projects, advocate internally for partners, and educate on industry norms
Minimum Qualifications
– 8+ years of work experience, including 6+ years of related business development experience
– Experience in IP licensing
– Experience leading cross-functional teams to orchestrate and successfully complete deals
– Experience working in a fast-paced, always-on, highly ambiguous start-up environment
– Interpersonal skills and experience developing working relationships inside and outside an organization
– Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, and highly organized
– Communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
– BA/BS degree, JD or MBA
– Experience in the gaming industry, working with developers, publishers, and hardware platforms
