Business Development Manager (Automotive Semiconductor)

BYD NORTH AMERICA is the world’s largest provider of zero-emission renewable energy products and services – including the world’s best electric buses, cars, and trucks, energy storage systems, and solar power systems.

We are seeking a Business Development Manager for the Automotive Semiconductor.

This Business Development Manager position is responsible for expanding business of BYD Semiconductor Industry (IGBT, etc.) as well as developing plans and strategies for sales growth.

JOB DUTIES

  • Monitor automotive market trends and Identify trendsetters` ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements from vertical channel direction;
  • Analyze customer product roadmap, market, and competitiveness for long-term business planning;
  • Develop and execute BYD business plans and strategies to maximize revenue growth, increase market share, and position BYD as a strategic supplier at key customers.
  • Coordinate BYD Global departments to drive solutions for customer satisfaction. Strengthen customer relationship at all levels;
  • Work closely and support Business Units on competitive analysis, market intelligence, and pricing negotiations.
  • Develop and establish strong cooperative relationships with all levels of BYD global organization and departments.
  • Visit OEM engineering, purchasing, and management on regular basis. (30% Travel, Domestic and International)
  • Other duties as assigned including special projects and other administrative responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS or MS in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • At least 2 years of combined experience in Sales, Marketing, or Business Development in Semiconductor Industry; Experience with IGBT sales is highly preferred
  • Good knowledge of semiconductor technology designing, processing, and operations including testing and product engineering is preferred.
  • Solid network background in automotive OEM is highly preferred;
  • Strong customer orientation and excellent communication and presentation skills are a must.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented. The ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • Mandarin-speaking/writing is preferred.

The work site for this position will be downtown Los Angeles, California.
