Business Development Manager

Our client is hiring a data-savvy Manager to lead our Business Development Team!

We are looking for an energetic and insightful person to drive new business.

This important role is central to the flow of business, and as such, you will be working closely with the Vice President of Sales and the Marketing team to identify, cultivate and secure new client relationships.

You will be managing a team of eight Business Development Reps (and growing rapidly) who are responsible for initial outreach to prospective clients, qualifying new accounts, and transitioning sales opportunities to the Account Executive team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

New Business Development:
Establish and Manage a team of 8+ Business Development Representatives responsible for both outbound emails/calls and inbound outreach Drive high levels of productivity (calls, emails, meetings) for the team Create and maintain outreach cadences for optimal connectivity and account penetration (we use Salesloft) Ensure consistent delivery of our value proposition via phone, email, and video In addition to cold outreach, ensure rapid follow up for all inbound leads Using sales data, provide feedback to marketing and leadership regarding successful penetration of new markets/verticals Recruit, train, and onboard new BDRs as required to meet our aggressive growth goals Evaluate data to diagnose and improve team performance

Required
5 plus years of recent and very relevant business development experience 2 plus years as a sales coach/mentor, especially leading sales teams 2 plus years of analyzing sales data (from CRM and tools within the tech stack) Experience with CRM (Salesforce strongly preferred) and outreach tools (such as Salesloft or Outreach) Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a high performing team Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment with great problem-solving, sales, and communication skills Demonstrate resilience under pressure while exhibiting a positive, respectful attitude Experience building BDR teams, and utilizing performance data to evaluate and diagnose performance issues, and deliver continuous improvement Should have B2B experience selling technical solutions to engineering and procurement professionals Must live or be willing to relocate to the Los Angeles, CA area

Preferred:
4-year college degree in business or related discipline Experience selling physical components (as opposed to software) Experience with Medium-size and Enterprise businesses a plus
