Business Development Manager

nn nnWe are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to help continue our growth.

This is a newly created position because of our steadily growing company.

This position will have a large impact in the direction of our company.

nn nn nn nn RESPONSIBILITIES nn nn
· Identify target markets in Southern California and penetrate these markets to solicit business.

This person must have a “hunter/researcher” mentality and an appetite for success.

· Work closely with all departments including product management, marketing, lab operations, and customer service to ensure successful product introduction, rapid product improvement, and a successful sales cycle.

· Introduce our service/product to prospective clients.

Making sure decision makers understand the benefits of the service and how it compares to other services.

Educate.

· Direct execution of sales strategies and tactics, and implementation of sales and marketing plans.

nn nn
· Develop and maintain relationships with all accounts to ensure strong account retention nn nn
· Achieve selling prices & net contribution by making sure all selling price changes effected are updated and implemented as and when required on budgeted volumes.

· Keep Sales records up to date nn nn
· While focused on achieving sales and revenue goals, always portraying the company in a positive light.

nn nn nn nn nn nn QUALIFICATIONS nn nn
· Bachelor’s degree, life science specialization and/or advanced degree preferred nn nn
· 5-10 years of experience in sales in the biotech industry.

Experience in pharmacogenomics, genetics/genomics, or molecular diagnostics preferred.

· Experience calling on senior-level individuals in hospitals, pharmacies, laboratories, and warehouses.

· Experience initiating, managing and closing complex sales.

· Proven successful track record.

nn nn
· Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.

nn nn
· Ability to work well in cross-functional teams.

nn nn
· Self-motivated & pro-active.
