n n n Danaher Corporation Business Development Director, Licensing & New Ventures in Los Angeles , California n nnEvaluates, recommends and manages proposals for strategic business opportunities, initiatives, partnerships, alliances and/or joint ventures for Cepheid in both new and existing markets/technologies.nn nnIncubates and manages pilot programs across new ventures & leads projects teams as necessary.nn nnManages term sheet development, partner negotiations, licensing efforts, and leads internal reviews.nn nnInitiates business development support to the broader Cepheid organization, including R&D, Innovation Teams, and participates in select strategic projects as necessary.nn nnLeads academic research partnering efforts, including R&D collaborations with leading institutions.nn nnImplements distribution and licensing agreements, coordinates with partner on alliance activity.nn nnHunts/Seeks new business development opportunities at industry trade shows, medical conferences, databases, and through industry contacts.nn nnContributes to developing the strategic roadmap with respect to new markets & channels.nn nnPrepares and delivers presentations to both internal and external partners relative to business development deals and strategies.nn nnWorks cross functionally with finance, legal, and regulatory to structure successful agreements.nn nnSupports management in analysis of complex transactions including M&A activity.nn nnWorks cohesively across the business developing group in supporting existing deals & pipeline opportunities.nn nnCareer Experience & Skillsnn nnBusiness development experience in Diagnostics, Pharmaceuticals, Digital Health, Consumer Health, or other Life Science business.nn nnTechnical expertise conducting life-science licensing deals & negotiating complex agreements.nn nnManaging projects with risk and complexity, quarterbacking new ventures.nn nnAbility to apply critical/strategic thinking to each opportunity & demonstrating the case for partnering.nn nnMust possess the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all internal and external partners and stakeholdersnn nnWorking knowledge of product development, regulatory, and scientific affairs as it relates to molecular diagnosticsnn nnAbility to travel domestically and internationallynn nnTravel up to 25% nn nnEducation & Experience nn nnBachelor’s degree with 12+ years of related work experience ORnn nnMaster’s degree in field with 8+ years of related work experience ORnn nnDoctoral degree in field with 5+ years of work experience.nn nnMBA Degree Preferrednn nnDanaher Corporation and all Danaher Companies are equal opportunity employers that evaluate qualified applicants without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, marital status, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other characteristics protected by law.
