What will you be doing in this role?.

Our System Development Department is looking for a Business Development Consultant to join their team on a full-time basis.

This role evaluates, analyzes, and makes recommendations on new business development opportunities and strategic plans.

The Business Development Consultant will provide business development and planning support to the leadership across the Health System.

This position also assists the Vice President, Directors, Managers, and Business Development staff with ensuring quality and consistency of business plans and products presented to senior leadership..

The Business Development Consultant will facilitate and present completed business plans that guide and influence business leaders on business development opportunities.

This including leading and facilitating cross functional project groups, which can include senior leadership.

This role:.

Works with Cedars-Sinai staff and leadership to define Health System growth strategies.

Drives the strategic planning process for the Health System and clinical departments..

Develops and completes sophisticated business plans by identifying, retrieving, and analyzing data.

Converts data into information required to make decisions and recommendations on new business development opportunities of large scope and impact to the organization.

Creates and crafts new business development approaches..

Provides direction to business development staff on assigned projects.

This includes reviewing and providing feedback on data and business plans produced by staff for quality, accuracy, and consistency..

Monitors, evaluates, defines, and prepares detailed market research and/or trend assessments and analysis.

This includes competitor analysis, demand forecasts, key market trends resulting from changing healthcare legislations, third party reimbursement trends and information on new technology impacting patient care..

Works with Cedars-Sinai staff and leadership to convert business analysis into implementation plans in a range of clinical settings across the organization by providing consulting assistance, including during and after implementation of new programs and/or services..

Evaluates operational needs for new programs, services, and technology, including staffing requirements and capital needs..

Develops detailed financial analysis (including income statements, cash flow analysis and balance sheets) and economic valuations using standard acceptable methodologies for new and existing programs, services, and healthcare technology to evaluate new business opportunities..

Helps direct review analyses of programs and compares their results to business plans and budgeting targets..

Provides staff support for all levels of leadership and physician groups across the organization..

Requirements:.

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business or a similar relevant maor required.

Master’s Degree preferred (for example, MBA, MPH or MHA).

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in planning, finance, and/or business development experience in a healthcare organization or consulting organization providing services to the healthcare industry highly preferred..
