BOEING: Senior Satellite Ground Systems Manager

The Boeing Defense Systems Space & Launch Engineering Division is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Satellite Systems Ground System Design and Mission Support (GDMS) development and operations teams and may be based in Seal Beach or El Segundo, California.

As a GDMS Senior Manager and Leader you will have the opportunity to manage and integrate employee and first-level manager activities across the organization.

GDMS consists of teams of engineers and analysts with diverse backgrounds and skill levels developing key ground technology solutions for a variety of proprietary and DOD programs supporting the Government Satellite Systems (GSS) organization and Commercial Satellite Systems (CSS) organizations.

In this role, you will be the primary interface to GSS programs and represent GDMS in executive leadership exchanges.

The GDMS Senior Manager will be the local GDMS Southern California focal for capital, overhead, site management and facilities and establish and maintain senior customer relationships as well as partnerships with stakeholders, peers and partners.

In addition, you will coordinate with GDMS ground capabilities and associated product owners to develop and refine the ground capability road map alignment.Responsibilities:* Lead the Ground Systems and Operations Organization to ensure successful GSS programs mission execution while assuring operational integration across all GDMS programs and projects, proper personnel staffing and assignments.* Build and maintain Senior Customer and Boeing leadership communication battle rhythms* Monitor and manage GDMS performance across all programs, resolve technical and program issues and control configurations.

* Lead strategic planning to ensure product growth; support, staff and manage new business opportunities* Develop and maintain a team of inspired first-line leaders to grow the skills/capabilities of the organization* Provide direct management and technical oversight of engineering, technical approaches and processes* Manage all staffing needs, determine critical skills, forecasts, obtains and manage personnel, facilities, services, equipment and tools.* Champion employee recognition, increase employee satisfaction and ensure workplace safetyThis position requires an active U.S.

Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
