The Role

We have an exciting new opening for a Senior Marketing Manager at Moonbug for our global live-action preschool sensation Blippi.

Blippi is the #1 live-action preschool show and 2024 marks the brand’s 10th anniversary since launching as a YouTube influencer in 2014. The Blippi franchise has expanded exponentially in recent years, boasting over a billion views a month on YouTube alone, with global content and music distribution, live events, consumer products, gaming, and continued innovation paving the way for additional growth.

The Senior Marketing Manager will report to the Blippi Brand Marketing Director and be responsible for driving affinity and growth of the Blippi brand globally, helping craft the short, medium and long-term strategy for the brand and leading the annual marketing plans from conception to execution. Results will be measured in audience and revenue growth.

Further, the Senior Marketing Manager will work with our research and insights partners to lead audience insights, set the direction for the optimal exposure through existing marketing and distribution channels, work with our many brand partners to build a holistic brand experience across partners and Moonbug channels as well as create and implement marketing plans and analyze the impact of our efforts.

The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading and owning projects and 360 marketing campaigns from concept to launch, ensuring cross-functional alignment and leadership buy-in.

This role is a great opportunity for someone with a business, marketing or similar degree and previous experience in a brand marketing role, ideally within an entertainment and/or kids-focused business, to work in one of the most exciting kids’ entertainment companies.

The ideal candidate has a passion for the digital media landscape and understands the intricacies and unique attributes of every step in the marketing funnel – prior experience with entertainment and/or family marketing is a must.  Also critical to the role is a deep understanding of how marketing can drive commercial success while ensuring the long-term health of the brand.

The successful candidate must be autonomous and self-organized, while creative and self-motivated; have strong attention to detail and great communication skills. The candidate must also be proactive, and process-driven, meet committed deadlines, and be great at working collaboratively in a fast-paced, international environment.

You will be working collaboratively with the General Managers, Marketing, Creative and Comms, Licensing & Merchandising, Music, Live Events, Brand Partnership, and Gaming teams as well as research and insights partners to deliver world-class experiences and 360 marketing campaigns for our audience.

This role will sit on-site at our West Hollywood office.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Blippi’s General Manager (GM) & Brand Marketing Director (BMD) to set marketing strategy and annual plans.

Work closely with GM & BMD  to define the vision for the brand. Be the steward to protect the brand vision, mission, and values while ensuring all marketing efforts align with the brands’ commercial needs. Define the brands’ unique positioning and selling proposition.

Be the expert on the brands’ target audience and consumer, and lead consumer insights plans.

Develop and implement strategies to drive affinity for our brands, drive consumption of our content, engagement on social media platforms and drive conversion on our various retail partner platforms.

Establish relevant KPIs for marketing plans. Track performance against KPIs to identify insights and opportunities to improve department performance, increase brand scale, and enhance efficiency of marketing spend.

Oversee the creation of brand assets including trailers, sales materials, style guides, and other marketing materials.

Support licensing and distribution partners to develop and execute strategies across their business units and channels integrating with our marketing channel infrastructure.

Oversee brand marketing team collaboration with internal cross-functional teams like content, comms, brand partnerships, music, channels, and legal for campaign strategy, approvals and coordination.

Oversee the creation of brand assets including trailers, social content,  sales materials, style guides, and other marketing materials.

Oversee process and execution of talent photoshoots for annual toolkits, brand partnerships, coordinate on-set content capture, PR clips, as needed. 

Develop robust test & learn plans to improve performance and marketing spend efficiencies across channels, based on data & analytical insights.

Work closely with the Production team to coordinate talent availability, production calendar, and content delivery across all brand initiatives with a marketing component.

Work with Marketing & Social team to set context on overall brand priorities, franchise strategy, and lead always-on, campaign and strategy development across all owned and operated brand channels and partner channels. 

Responsible for managing Brand Marketing budget.

Drive innovation with partners to get them excited to promote our fun and enriching shows and characters.

Requirements

You have 6+ years’ experience in a marketing role or entertainment creative/strategy role with a strong focus on digital marketing 

Experience with entertainment is a benefit, and family entertainment is also a plus 

Bachelor’s degree required. 

Ability to balance creative and analytical thinking to craft strong strategies and POVs that drive brand initiatives forward 

Strong understanding of acquisition funnel, performance marketing KPIs, and profitability levers

Strategic Thinking: Ability to craft a marketing strategy, align efforts with commercial needs, and define brand positioning.

Consumer Insights and Targeting: Proficiency in understanding target audience and leading research to drive affinity and content consumption.

Marketing Strategy and Execution: Track record of developing effective strategies, campaigns, and optimizing marketing spend.

Analytical and Data-driven Thinking: Ability to establish KPIs, track performance, and use data insights to improve marketing.

Brand Management and Creative Asset Oversight: Skills in protecting brand vision and overseeing creation of marketing materials.

Collaboration and Partnership: Effective teamwork, coordination, and alignment with stakeholders.

Budget Management: Experience in optimizing marketing spend and resource allocation.

Innovation and Partner Engagement: Ability to drive innovation, build relationships, and promote brand shows and characters.

Previous experience with live-action production and talent management a plus.
