Position Summary
Our Los Angeles office is recruiting for a BIM Manager to support the implementation of BIM and related technology. The BIM Manager will work with multiple project teams from project initiation to final delivery, ensuring the project is utilizing BIM to the fullest.
The BIM Manager will be part of our collaborative digital design studio NEXT, supporting research and development into the latest trends, to drive efficiency and increase productivity and innovation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide training and technical support to users on Building Information Modeling systems including Revit
- Ensure project teams meet HLW BIM standards and practices
- Work directly on projects to enhance BIM workflows and practices in all phases of projects
- Setting up new BIM projects – Revit model setup, understanding coordinates and linking models
- Evaluation and development of BIM processes, policies, protocols and workflows
- Identify and assist in creating content to enhance our digital asset and detail libraries
- Promote, educate and support Revit as the primary design application
- Expand global digital practice standards and align best practices between offices
- Research, develop and evaluate new technologies to support HLW’s design process and products
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture, engineering or a related discipline, or Associate’s Degree with demonstrated equivalent additional work experience
- 5+ years’ experience with a minimum of 2+ years’ experience in architectural design development, construction documentation and detailing on a wide variety of project types, and 3+ years of experience in BIM management/Practice, including but not limited to Revit project deployment – professional and/or specific academic BIM application
- General knowledge of integrated architectural and engineering practice
- Demonstrated expertise in digital tools such as Revit, Dynamo, Navisworks, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper, scripting, programming, and interoperability experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Scripting and computer programming knowledge such as C#, Python and JavaScript
- An entrepreneurial spirit and drive to seek out and solve problems
- Ability to multi-task various projects efficiently and work well under deadlines
- Attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills
