Bilingual Category Manager, Indirect Sourcing

The primary responsibility of this position is to execute sourcing strategies and supplier management strategies for up to 20 suppliers to reduce costs without compromising quality.

The Category Manager, Indirect Sourcing will be responsible for global category analysis, leading the RFx process, creating Purchase Orders and negotiating contracts with suppliers.

The individual will be responsible for strategic sourcing, negotiations and management of major global contracts for the company.

This position will support the management of low to high complex categories by analyzing reporting and research, maintaining database information and executing tasks and projects in an efficient and timely manner.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 

• Responsibility for 2-3 high-complexity categories in Indirect Sourcing

• Implement sourcing strategies as directed from management in the Logistics category that results in a sustainable competitive advantage.

• Act as a strategic advisor to internal customers and facilitate contract negotiation and award of Logistics projects.

• Analyze data related to Logistics (Transportation and Warehousing) and provide proposals such as cost saving, efficiency and accuracy improvement, process optimization etc.

• Work individually and with teams to develop business and commercial requirements, statements of work, specifications, procurement objectives, sourcing criteria, market and vendor evaluations, proposal evaluation criteria and models, and purchase recommendations for equipment and services.

• Conduct competitive bids following best practices which result in the optimum acquisition of indirect equipment, and services through a structured RFX processes.

• Negotiate commercial and business terms and conditions for services, purchases, and related contracts under general supervision.

• Perform high complexity negotiations

• Perform complex analysis for proposed pricing.

• Provide input on negotiation and sourcing strategies

• Ability to lead cross functional team through the procurement process

• Process Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders

• Track, monitor, analyze and report pricing to cross functional departments

• Maintain sourcing database(s) to ensure reporting is accurate; review and analyze reporting

• Strong influencing and networking skills as the organization relies on working in cross functional teams across borders

• Good and up to date knowledge of the Logistics category

• Strong ability to analyze data and present solutions

• Manage full lifecycle of contracts for assigned programs of work and key suppliers

• Conduct periodic market analysis of rates and other commercial terms

• Negotiate new agreements and SOWs in support of key sourcing areas

• Ability to take data analysis and build a strong business case for Sr.

Management based on Total Cost of Ownership

• Expeditiously resolve the needs of the customer and support supplier relationships

• Ensure compliance to company purchasing/procurement policies and procedures.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills :

• Bilingual
– Excellent English and Spanish communication skills, both at oral and written

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work with all levels of an organization; ability to work as a member of a team in a global environment and demonstrate and organized thought process – open to working with different time zones & at different times

• Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Oracle

• Strong analytical skills

• Intermediate project management skills

• Ability to effectively build a pipeline of deals and develop the appropriate resourcing plans.

• Ability multi-task various projects and achieve timely results by effectively and efficiently prioritizing tasks and projects

• Ability to negotiate with vendors/service providers as well as develop strategies and tactics, and influence decisions

• Able to project authority in group settings

• Ability to express personal point of view in a constructive and direct manner

Experience :

• 7+ years of experience in technology strategic sourcing, consulting, vendor management, contracts, and/or procurement

• 5+ years’ experience in depth experience of contracts and working in Logistics category

Education :

• Bachelor’s degree

• CPM/CPSM certified or equivalent or SME experience required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• MBA or JD preferred

• Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
