ResponsibilitiesThe primary function of this position is to provide administrative and consulting services for small retirement plan clients.
This will include plan design, administration, compliance testing, and Form 5500 preparation.
Interaction with the plan sponsor and the financial advisor is essential.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all aspects of plan consulting and administration for assigned book of defined contribution retirement plans including profit sharing only, Solo(k), 401(k), and 403(b) plans.
•Develop/maintain client relationship for assigned book of business.
•Consult with client regarding plan design.
•Assist in sales & marketing to prospective clients and broker relationships.
•Assist in developing internal administrative and marketing resources to expand relationship with Baker Tilly CPA staff members.
•Preparation of plan documents and amendments for assigned book of business.
•Coordination with Benefits Administrator for workload support.
•Responsible for coordinating all aspects of plan termination.
•Participation in process improvement on operational procedures.
•Assist in client billing.
•Assist in special projects, as needed.Preparation of Health & Welfare plan Form 5500’s.Develop and maintain relationship with brokers for assigned book of business.Review work product prepared by Benefits Administrator.Responsible for plan conversions.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree required5
