KARL STORZ Endoscopy-America, Inc. (KSEA), an affiliate of KST, is headquartered in El Segundo, California, and is responsible for all U.S. distribution and sales of endoscopes, instruments, imaging systems, electromechanical devices, and OR1 operating room integration technologies.

Video Integration is the management of video and audio streams in an Operating Room and throughout a hospital’s networked enterprise. KARL STORZ has been innovating in this space for 20 years.

Now we are looking for a techy, driven Associate Marketing Manager to help us continue innovating with AIDA, the product responsible for documentation and archival of surgical recordings. This is a fast paced, challenging role but for the right person, it’s a dream job.

As the OR1 Associate Technical Marketing Manager, you will own the strategy behind AIDA. From product roadmap to customer installation, you are here to make AIDA the best documentation product on the market.

Responsibilities:

  • Upstream Responsibilities:
    • Filter and track market feedback for product roadmap
    • Research market trends and current product performance to anticipate new customer requirements
    • Manage product life cycle strategy
    • Collaborate with engineering, product management and regulatory
    • Product manage accessories in the AIDA portfolio and for OR1 as a whole
    • Manage administrative tasks associated with product portfolio (part numbering, quoting tools, etc.)
  • Downstream Responsibilities:
    • Develop launch material for product and new feature releases (training plans, marketing material, demos etc.)
    • Present passionately to customer groups and/or KARL STORZ employees
    • Train and provide on-site support during implementation and go-live as well as post-go live support
    • Maintain competitive information relative to product portfolio
    • Provide backup to technical services when issues escalate
    • Collaborate and assist sales, technical services, and field operations on all things AIDA

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum education level of a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 1-2 years’ work experience specific to B2B sales, medical device sales, medical device marketing, OR integration, or healthcare IT experience;
  • Technical competency in video standards, video streaming, networking, and cloud based solutions. Special emphasis placed on how individual devices could be used to create integrated systems.
  • Understanding of the operating room workflow; its systems and subsystems used in everyday surgery is desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with special emphasis on the ability to communicate technical details to the layperson.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to negotiate internally with team members on customer strategy.
  • Ability to anticipate / handle multiple priorities and complex issues.
  • Maintains a high standard of ethics, professionalism and competency.
