Associate Director, Strategy – UX/Digital (REMOTE Option)

While this role is based out of our Los Angeles office, work can be done remotely for strong qualified candidates.

However, due to client considerations and workflow reasons only candidates who are local to the U.S.

Who we are looking for:
We’re seeking a Strategy Lead (Associate Director level) who can develop and deliver strategies for innovative customer experiences.

Were open to a Senior Strategist who is ready for the next level or an existing Associate Director.

Starting with a mix of past experience and new research to gain a clear understanding of consumers, markets and enabling technologies, the right hire will work with a cross-functional team to help define the discovery plan, strategic vision, and execution of digital experiences from single products or brand touch-points, to large, complex services and systems with a focus on owned, social and partner digital platforms.

Together with the team, you will foster an environment of strong empathy for the people your clients need to connect with, critical and insightful thinking, business acumen, and love for solving problems both big and small.

You are a proven expert in conducting research and utilizing data to inform your strategic thinking, and are constantly searching for new ways of constructing and packaging effective strategies that inspire your creative partners to dream up breakthrough ideas, and give your clients the confidence to build them.

What you’ll do: 
Client | Work directly with clients at the outset of an assignment to define (or redefine) the right opportunity and and the right problem to solve.

Present directly to clients, gaining their trust by telling a concise and compelling story to explain our strategies and approach.

Provide strategic direction to Account teams for brands across the digital ecosystem, in addition to partnering with creative and brand teams to create and update case studies each quarter that illustrate the compelling stories on our best work.

Team | Lead, manage, inspire and motivate project, product and development teams for new digital experiences.

Review team deliverables.

Provide inspiration, strategic oversight and ensure the work gets noticed, used and appreciated.

Collaborate with Project Managers to develop and manage realistic timelines and project plans.

Innovation | Develop an industry-leading approach to CX, including tools, and technology to create data-driven Customer Journeys capable of identifying disruptive innovations throughout a brand experience.

Product Prototyping | Develop and design user stories, concepts, storyboards, and work with UX and creative to develop wireframes and prototypes to various degrees of fidelity to make your ideas clearly understood.

What youll need:
Minimum 5 years of professional strategy and/or UX experience within a digital agency, consulting firm, and/or other highly relevant experience.

Proven experience in various types of user/customer research, user testing and analysis, insights generation, campaign development, touchpoint/ journey mapping, workshop design and management, developing sketches/ low fidelity wireframes for digital prototypes, products, and or services.

Insatiable curiosity and passion about uncovering human truths, choices, and behaviors.

Strong project and people management skills.

A proven track record of functioning as a project leader as well as an individual contributor.

Expertise in synthesizing and translating lots of information and/or data into cohesive and concise thoughts and plans.

Articulating problems and solutions clearly to bring unity to teams.

Comfort working independently, with some guidance.

Experience in collaboration and working cross-functionally (i.e.

with Creative, User Experience, Account and Analytics teams).

Flexible working style, keeping up with a fast-paced account and comfortable with shifting focus as business needs develop.

Experience with marketing automation frameworks and mapping.

Familiarity with agile/lean methodologies and best practices.

Up-to-date understanding of market trends and keen interest in following emerging technologies.

Some experience using prototyping tools (i.e.

InVision).

Nice to have
Experience in large website redesigns.

Experience utilizing CRM/personalization marketing technology platforms (Salesforce, Adobe, etc.)
