The Role

The Associate Director, Sourcing is a supply chain leader who will build and lead a world-class team, reporting to the EVP, Supply Chain.

This role will work with contract manufacturers, components, and ingredients to deliver quality products and superior service to Honest.

The Sourcing team will assess new suppliers and negotiate terms and pricing.

What you’ll do:
Build, develop and manage an experienced and high-performing Sourcing team Assess potential suppliers based on strategic direction, financial health/risk, due diligence, market and industry position, capabilities and capacity, and risks Understand and track key commodities and market conditions that influence cogs Manage robust RFI, RFQ and cost tracking program for new products and existing products Recommend sourcing strategies that improve the agility, responsiveness and reliability of the supply chain Understand supplier operations and implement win-win initiatives to improve the way we work with them Negotiate and implement cost-saving programs with suppliers, such as volume-based discounts, operational efficiencies, better payment terms, lead time improvements, etc.

Track and improve supplier performance and cost on scheduled basis Conduct long-term planning with suppliers to ensure that supplier capacity supports company growth Partner with Supply Planning to escalate and coordinator on supplier-related issues Make continuous improvements to supplier quality, pricing, lead time, and terms Responsible for driving cost savings by optimizing pricing tiers, collaborating with Product Development on achieving product features at the optimal cost, and understanding cost drivers, raw materials pricing, and market factors Understand supplier SOPs and planning, purchasing, and manufacturing workflows and processes in order to drive continuous improvement Ensure suppliers are compliant with Honest compliance policies and service level agreement

What you’ll need:
10+ years of sourcing and procurement experience 5+ years of people management experience Experience working with contract manufacturers a must, including problem solving and negotiation experience Consumer packaged goods experience MBA, CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), C.P.M.

(Certified Purchasing Manager), or PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred Ability to maintain composure in high-stress and uncertain situations Team player, highly collaborative You can set operational targets and manage a team to achieve them Highly analytical, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills Extremely organized and attentive to detail Ability to communicate exceptionally well with and influence peers, direct reports, and management ERP experience (like Oracle or SAP)
