Associate Director, Head of Global Compensation

GOAT Group is seeking an Associate Director, Head of Global Compensation.

This role will provide leadership and direction for all components of compensation, including development, implementation, and management of GOAT’s compensation and equity strategy, globally.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong technical capabilities, the ability to exercise strong judgement, and an endless desire to create scalable and progressive compensation structures. 

You will report to the Head of Total Rewards and People Operations within our People organization.

You will manage the Compensation team, hire additional team members, and be an essential partner to our Executive Leadership and People Team.

In this role you will:

  • Develop, implement, and manage global compensation processes and initiatives that are aligned and tailored to varying Corporate, Retail, and Warehouse populations.
  • Oversee compensation related system implementations and process improvements.
  • Ensure that compensation programs support corporate strategic objectives including competitive pay and internal consistency. 
  • Lead equity program including developing program structure, grant analysis, and employee and candidate education.
  • Partner with key business leaders, HR Business Partners, and Talent Acquisition to ensure compensation programs meet various business needs.
  • Lead participation in compensation survey submissions and manage relationships with third party vendors, consultants or other external service providers.
  • Ensure our internal bands are calibrated on a regular basis, to maintain competitiveness with the external market.
  • Research and use data to provide strategic input for compensation structures for new geographies/ job profiles.
  • Provide direction, coaching and development opportunities for compensation team members.
  • Provide and improve communications regarding compensation programs and designs to improve employee understanding and help convey the value being provided.

We are looking for:

  • 10+ years of global compensation experience, with 5+ years of leading a team.
  • Experience with compensation administration across fixed and variable cash and equity compensation.
  • Experience working with a Retail and/or Warehouse populations is a plus. 
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with experience evaluating and managing online salary management tools.
  • Acute attention to detail and well-developed organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and to influence and develop strong cross-functional working relationships with groups such as HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition & Finance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with high initiative, flexibility, and team approach to work.
