Business Unit Description: 8th Avenue Food & Provisions is a growing organization made up of businesses that produce and sell quality products including pasta, peanut butter, granola, and fruit and nut trail mixes to retail, foodservice and ingredient customers.

The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H.

Responsibilities: About the RoleThe Associate Customer Business Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and managing sales business plans for customers and manages assigned key accounts to develops new business opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelops, implements and manages a sales and marketing business plan to grow profitable volume with existing assigned accounts while ensuring alignment with overall Processing group goals.Responsible for direct sales contact with assigned key accounts.Develops new account business.Develops clear understanding of customer/buyer goals and strategies.

Communicates account activity to sales management team and broker community.Tracks progress towards the achievement of business plans and objectives; initiates action as required.Effectively implements price changes and accruals.Establishes and develops strong working relationships with new and existing customers, and internal contacts within the organization.Broker Management: Effectively collaborate with national broker system to ensure goals are achieved.Forecast existing and new business as well as assist the Sales team with the process.Understand and utilize customer P data effectively.Tableau Analysis and ReportingAssist in identifying white space opportunitiesWork with customer service on division customer price listsCreate sales reports that assist Customer Development in managing their customersSales SupportCreate product assortment analytics (distribution reporting and benchmarking) for Sales team.Assist Sales team as needed in filling out the Project Forms which are then provided to Commercialization.Assist Sales with commodity negotiations with market intelligence and hands on involvementParticipate as the internal resource in commercialization / hummingbird meetingsPresentationsProvide support to the Sales team in developing presentations for customersAssist in adding creative elements to presentationsPipelineCoordinate timely communication of pipeline updatesAssist sales team in managing other high priority projects with trackers.Other duties, as assignedEducation and Experience RequiredBachelors Degree in Business or related field of studyMinimum 3 years of sales experienceExperience with private brand consumer packaged goods portfolio preferredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Understanding of financial/business matters affecting profitabilityAnalytical strategic thinkerStrong mathematical/calculation skillsProficient in relevant computer applicationsSelf-motivated, results orientedSuperior customer service skills/attitudeExcellent organizational follow-up skillsModels high standards and accountability in all endeavorsPhysical Requirements: Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:Must be able to stand and walk for 3 hours per dayMust be able to sit for 8 hours per dayMust be able to use fine manipulation of your hands for 3 hours per dayMust be able to lift up-to 34 pounds for 3 hours per dayMust be able to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken and written word
