This team member will be responsible for a wide spectrum of duties but will initially be focused on stop-loss.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesMaintain stop-loss client database with information inclusive of, but not limited to: renewal dates, rates, carrier, deductible levels, contract type, progress of stop-loss requestsEnsure that projects are meeting deadlines and client teams are aware of any issuesAssist with monitoring and managing the stop loss proposal inbox, ensuring that all communications are acknowledged within 24 hoursCollaborate with all team members on stop-loss renewals, marketings and on-going service needsAssist with the drafting and managing of stop-loss RFPs and renewals, including obtaining critical data, as requiredReview stop-loss loss proposals and renewals received, aggregating responses into a client friendly format to compare contract terms and pricingSupport delivery of proposals and renewals to clients, upon requestWork with client and vendor to ensure timely claim payment including following up and obtaining outstanding data required for claim processingRespond quickly and accurately to client and carrier questions and work to resolve any issue or problem as quickly as possibleParticipate in client calls/meetings, including taking notes and ensuring follow-up, as requiredCoordinate new carrier business, including reviewing paperwork for accuracy and managing towards critical milestonesWork with client and vendor to ensure timely claim payment including following up and obtaining outstanding data required for claim processingCoordinate with medical and pharmacy carriers to receive detailed claims reporting, and review reports on a monthly basis to monitor claims that reach 50% of the stop-loss deductibleOversee claims process and eliminate claims forms for the clientCollaborate with all team members across the organization on projects as needed including assistance with private equity, health and welfare consulting, and voluntary benefitsBuild and maintain solid working relationships with clients, insurance carriers/vendors and co-workersAdditional duties, as assignedKnowledge, Skills, And/or AbilitiesStrong technical and financial acumen with ability to analyze and interpret dataStrong writing skills with ability to correspond and present in a clear, concise, and persuasive mannerAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and with colleagues of all levelsAbility to prioritize multiple projects at once and to thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environmentDetail oriented with ability to self-review own work for accuracy and that of othersService-oriented mentality with ability to uphold firm’s reputation for responsivenessAbility to use feedback to develop skill setsExcellent organizational skillsCritical thinking skillsSelf-starterBasic Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills Education And/or Experience2 years of industry experience requiredCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationLife, Accident and Health License required; must be obtained within90 days of employmentWhat We OfferNFP/Alterity is proud to offer a competitive salary, PTO & paid holidays, 401(k) with match, exclusive discount programs, health & wellness programs, and more.
