The Warehouse Assistant Manager, will be responsible and held accountable for overseeing the entire warehouse team. They will be responsible for improving the warehouse performance, productivity and efficiently while eliminating errors and meeting both customers and upper management’s expectations. They are to support the organizations mission to create a positive and professional work environment and assist with creating the proper cultural and professional work setting.

In this role, you will be required but not limited to the following:
* Responsible for training, hiring and firing of all new team
* Determine staffing levels
* Supervise, coach and train members (possibly train at other offices)
* Set up procedures, SOP’s and systems in place to improve communication, improve efficiency and eliminate errors.
* Planning and Scheduling work schedules for the department
* Limiting cost (OT / Monitoring hours, equipment expense, repairs)
* Keep records of employee achievements, errors, attendance and concerns
* Manage department expenses and equipment
* Work with management on streamlining warehouse process
* Liaising and negotiating with suppliers, manufactures, retailers and consumers
* Keep track of quality, quantity, stock level, delivery times, and efficiency
* Assisting with detentions as needed
* Maintains an organized warehouse by organizing floor space, recommending and implementing improvements. Keeps a clean and organized storage area
* Resolve any arising problems or complaints and ensure all incident reports are completed and followed up with
* Take disciplinary actions with team members who do not meet standards or follow safety procedures
* Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeless targets
* Manages productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements
* Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
* Comply with laws and regulations
* Complete Food safety training program
* Ensures that the daily walk throughs are efficient and completed on a daily basis
* Ensure all Food Safety and HACCP duties and OSHA safety practices are met daily
* Provides information for OPS to reply to customers questions or solve problems
* Identifies areas of improvement and establish innovative change or adjust existing work procedures and practices
* Communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures
* Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; communicating breakdowns; requesting repairs
