   Assistant Road Crew Managers are part of the leadership team of road crew operations during new openings, contingency projects, selection projects, and any designated special FHI project.

Assistant Road Crew Managers have responsibility for the accurate and timely completion of the road crew assignments as well as the administrative paperwork for reporting daily activity to the corporate office.

The Assistant Road Crew Manager is responsible for ensuring adherence to all FHI policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.

Primary Duties:

Managing and Directing
Assistant Road Crew Managers are representatives of FHI and person in charge of FHI road crew associates Assistant Road Crew Managers report to the Sr.

Leadership of Contingency and Road Crew Operations (SRRCM, RCM, PM) responsible for the RC project Assistant Road Crew Managers provide appropriate written documentation and communication with Sr.

Leadership of Contingency and Road Crew Operations (SRRCM, RCM, PM) and local hotel personnel regarding issues related to road crew accommodations.

Also coordinates requests and provides information to corporate office for MVR record inquiries for prospective FHI road crew drivers Assistant Road Crew Managers are responsible for RC vehicles; this includes issuing and retrieving keys from RC drivers, cleanliness of vehicles, and work drop-off and pickup schedules.

(see RC vehicle policy for further explanation) Assistant Road Crew Managers will work with the Sr.

Leadership of Contingency and Road Crew Operations (SRRCM, RCM, PM) to schedule and coordinate travel arrangements, via air or ground transportation.

Coordinates work schedules, time off, leave of absence and other attendance issues for road crew associates May be assigned to assist in directing and coordinating the safe and efficient operation of the dock, road crew work assignments and road crew performance, including managing a department, shift or project Ensure all the policies and procedures regarding road crew are followed Effectively communicate with FHI road crew associates, hotel personal and possibly host management, vendor representatives, drivers and carrier representatives as well as FHI management Complete all internal documentation required for reporting daily activity.

This may include RC itinerary, associate’s hours report, payroll information, and other necessary reporting as requested Enforce FHI Rules of Conduct and all other policies and procedures related to dock operations and workforce management, if required.

Investigate violations of Rules of Conduct and discipline associates found in violation of those rules.

Respond to, investigate, and resolve associate grievances and complaints Conducting performance appraisals of associates during participation on road crew and reporting those to the SR RC Leadership (SRRCM, RCM, PM) Attend periodic management training and career development workshops and seminars as required Train and develop road crew handlers and other personnel as required
Home Center Staffing and Support
May be assigned to assist in the permanent staffing of the local team, in conjunction with the Road Crew Operations team and Regional Director.

May assist in the permanent office set-up and operational support, as needed.

Complete Orientation and site certification of new associates Any other tasks as directed by the Sr.

Leadership of Contingency and Road Crew Operations (SRRCM, RCM, PM) or Regional Director of Operations
Administration of Discipline
Assistant Road Crew Managers has the authority to discipline, up to and including effectively recommending termination of employment
Qualifications:
High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to speak and write English for effective communication.

Basic math and computer skills.

Attention to detail and ability to follow directions.

Mental reasoning capabilities and mature problem-solving skills while managing multiple priorities.

Interact respectfully and courteously with associates, co-workers, management, customers and vendors.

Demonstrate interest in and understanding of all FHI policies and procedures and other employment issues.

Leadership skills and ability to supervise people and production effectively.

Must have valid driver’s license and pass consumer background checks.

FHI mentor experience preferred.

Requirements:
Must be in current management position (Lead – Regional Manager) Must be recommended by current manager Must be willing and able to depart upon official communication of assignment 8-week minimum commitment, per assignment.

As many assignments as needed, depending on RC project activity.

Eligible for trips home will be following the completion of a minimum 8-week commitment.

Must be willing to travel to Corporate office 2-times per year for training (3-5 days per trip) as available.

Fiscal Responsibility.

Will be issued and expense account through credit card allocation for Road Crew travel and expenses.

Must have good attendance (3 events or less) No more than 2 safety points
