Assistant General Manager – Fine Dining Restaurants

801 Restaurant Group, a family owned group of 10 restaurants is GROWING We are seeking an Assistant General Manager for the St.

Louis Market We currently have our 801 Chophouse and 801 Fish in Clayton and will be opening our 801 Local in Frontenac.

Compensation package includes base salary, bonus program, vacation and medical/dental insurance.

Working in concert with the Chef/GM in all aspects of the kitchen/restaurant.

Responsible for wine program, including wine list and inventory, usage of wine knowledge for guest interaction, staff training and tastings, purveyor relations and overall wine sales Complete understanding of RS accounting and financial system, including opening and closing paperwork, weekly submittals, etc Maintain and improve restaurant standards (FOH staff, BOH staff, restaurant appearance & maintenance) Ability to communicate with guests, employees and vendors in a clear, concise and expert manner.

Knowledge of FOH operations
– food, beverage, inventory, ordering, supervision, etc.

Experience managing a beverage/wine program a plus.

Ability to support FOH and BOH staff, coordinate daily restaurant operations.

Experience in marketing/sales, business development in restaurant setting a plus.

Desire for improvement, advancement, and development.

Ability to work under pressure, in stressful situations.

Elevate and uphold personal standard and work ethics, ie personal appearance, hygiene, punctuality, leadership, etc Responsible behaviors in relation to product tasting and consumption Assist in all areas of bar operation (menus, training’s, organization, inventory) Working with the Chef and GM to continue the success of 801 Chophouse Uphold standard of 801 image and reputation on and off-premise, including confidentiality of all Company business, procedures and policies Assist in development of 801 brand and sister concepts Candidates for this position should have a strong sense of hospitality, be detail-oriented and have the ability to work as a TEAM.

Must be available 7 days a week.
