This position oversees the Planning and Development Agency and plays an instrumental role to ensure that County parks, trails, and buildings are well planned, designed, constructed, and preserved; socially and culturally relevant; equitably located; physically accessible; and safe.

The Planning Division oversees master planning, environmental compliance, land management, sustainability and trails planning, while Development Division oversees design and construction project management.
Together, Planning and Development Agency provides essential mission-led guidance and technical support for the Department and leads efforts to identify and implement sound strategies that promote positive, equity-focused, environmentally just and sustainable results.
