Assistant Director Cardiac Surgical Services

An exciting opportunity for an Assistant Director Surgical Services just became available in the Great Los Angeles Area, California.

The Assistant Director Surgical Services will join this 520+ bed Magnet hospital that was voted Best Hospital 2022-2023 by U.S. News & World Report. The Assistant Director of Perioperative Services will join a health system that offers continual growth and opportunity to develop throughout one’s career. 

Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services, the Assistant Director Surgical Services will oversee approximately 200 cardiac cases per month. This person will perform clinical and administrative operations in a fast-paced department with state-of-the-art equipment and a supportive medical and support staff. The Assistant Director of Perioperative Services will be supported by a team of outstanding CVOR certified nurses and 40 supporting staff.

The Assistant Director’s responsibilities will include developing and supporting educational initiatives, serving as a mentor to new leaders, and being a champion for quality improvement throughout the department. The Assistant Director of Surgical Services will also take on administrative duties in the department, including oversight and maintenance of the budget, recruitment and retention of staff, and this person will oversee operations.

A BSN nurse with 3 years nurse manager or supervisor experience in CVOR, Operating Room, or Cath Lab, union experience, and an active CA license will score you a quick interview.
