Job SummaryAKS Engineering & Forestry (AKS) is seeking a professional civil engineer as a full‐time Land Development Project Manager for our Vancouver, Washington office.
You will work closely with our principals and multidisciplinary task leads on a mix of projects throughout the region.
This opening is ideal for a registered professional who can take the lead on design of private land development projects and can independently manage projects.
AKS offers a supportive work environment with an excellent benefit package and an outstanding opportunity for personal and professional growth.Ideal Candidate Qualifications10 years of experience in civil engineering design related to private land development projectsBS in Civil Engineering or equivalent degree (required)Oregon or Washington Civil Engineer’s License (required)Ability to identify and pursue business development opportunitiesDemonstrated experience as project manager successfully delivering site development projects in WashingtonKnowledge and familiarity with local codes and agency standardsBasic understanding of financial reports, solid time management, and follow‐through skills, and the proven ability to manage a multi‐disciplinary team with a positive, flexible approach.Various civil engineering technical skills required including good organizational skillsStrong written and oral communication skills including proposal and report writingSelf‐motivated, proactive, and detail‐orientedAbility to work quickly, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlinesProficient with Microsoft Office SuiteReputation for high level of client serviceExperience and or training in project managementCivil 3D and/or MicroStation/InRoads design experiencePossess valid US drivers licenseJob Functions & Responsibilities: You will provide project management and leadership of site development projects working with our hard-working team.
Depending on your background and interest, you could manage residential, industrial, commercial, education, or recreational projects.
Our collaborative team environment provides the resources of in-house technical experts to help you meet the needs of clients.
You may also manage outside subconsultants for other necessary expertise.
