Airswift: Repair Supervisor

Our client, a leader in the heavy manufacturing industry are in the market to hire an experienced Repair Supervisor to be based out of their facility in Cleveland, TX.

The successful incumbent will oversee all repairs and will also be held responsible for the quality of all repairs performed by his/her subordinates.

Great benefits package starting on day one of employment.Excellent work culture that fosters friendship, respect and pride in work.ResponsibilitiesSupervises hourly work force in the efficient, expeditious repair and maintenance of railroad tank cars and other railroad rolling stock.Ensures AAR, DOT and company quality control standards are adhered to by inspecting all completed work.Records labor hours and material consumption in an accurate, timely manner.Adheres to established production schedules by monitoring work in process and thereby effectively scheduling his/her subordinates.Implements the safety program as established by SOPs enforces compliance with all safety rules, ensures hazardous conditions are corrected promptly and works towards eliminating employee injuries.Participates in and actively supports quality projects and activities.Qualifications:High school education3 years of experience as a supervisor in a tank car repair facility or another heavy industrial facility.

Ideally a team of 5 individuals.

Experience managing within a Unionized facility.

Detailed knowledge of AAR/DOT regulationsKnowledge of welding, painting, and coating techniques would be beneficial.Continuous improvement experience, six sigma, lean etc
