As Lead Product Manager for Airspace Management, you’ll plan requirements and usher projects through the entire product lifecycle.

This includes managing and coordinating stakeholder input, product vision and roadmap, schedules and risks.

You’re equally at home explaining your analysis and recommendations to executives, as you are discussing the technical trade-off’s in product development with engineers.Our goal is to support customer success through advanced enablement processes that increase mission and task efficiency; provide unique and advantageous insights, and streamline the huge amount of aerial data we currently collect through our aviation activities.You will be primarily responsible for the ongoing evolution of AirMap’s airspace management (UTM) offering, bridging the technical and business worlds as you design and create a compelling product vision and roadmap that meets specific customer needs.What else you’ll do:Be the Product Owner for key product decisions and for making decisions amongst competing priorities Guide a cross-functional team including engineers and designers to deliver projects Manage project-planning processes (e.G.

timeline, milestone tracking) in a lean environment Ensure that all stakeholders are kept fully informed of project status and progress Serve as the voice of customers to define the design attributes AirMap products Gather and distill customer insights through analytics tools, A/B testing, surveys and focus groups Define the features, functionality and user experience across mobile and web Identify and gather product requirements based on deep knowledge of airspace management / UTM market, specific use cases, customer needs and product potential Weave together feature sets and functionality into a consistent and elegant experience across platformsTest and evaluate key features and user interactions before each release Benchmark other best-in-class products and assess and select third-party tech to improve the user experience Develop meaningful metrics to track product success and identify ongoing opportunities for innovation and improvement.Location: USA remote opportunity available, preferably West Coast.Requirements5-7 years experience in field and related roleAt least 2 years UAV, UTM or aviation/aerospace experienceExperience managing direct reports and manages the day-to-day functions and performance of a teamHigh level of competency in core areas of product management practice, including:Conducting customer interviews and user testingRunning design sprintsFeature prioritization and road map planningResource allocationPerforming market assessmentsTranslating business-to-technical requirements, and vice versaGuide functional interface design and work closely with UX/UIDefining and tracking success metricsPricing and revenue modellingIs accountable for the performance and results of a team, managing people, setting direction, deploying resources and doing performance evaluations within functionProvides guidance in area of expertise to employees, colleagues and/or customersBenefitsAirMap offers competitive pay and benefits, flexibility to work from home, and the opportunity to work on something truly innovative.
