We are seeking a hands-on professional that can lead key team members while being the focal point/customer liaison, that ensures all program requirements, schedules, and costs, meet or exceed the customer’s expectations. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with the ability to manage people and prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Additionally, they must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and provide formal and informal status reports and presentations to management, staff, and customers. A security clearance is a plus!
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead and/or contribute to winning competitive proposals. Includes defining winning proposal strategies and writing persuasively.
- Proven ability to define and manage schedules, including critical path and resource management.
- Demonstrated ability to use strong interpersonal skills to lead multiple departments to meet customer requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills to solve problems including bottlenecks, interpersonal conflict resolution, and work prioritization.
- Exceptional ability to learn in a team environment under high schedule pressure.
- Proven success with electro-optical system development and test.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent (REQUIRED) Program Management degree or certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years program management experience in the aerospace or defense industry with a demonstrated understanding of complex procurement processes.
- A strong willingness to assist and provide guidance to other employees.
- Quickly adapt and change priorities while managing interruptions
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and with Microsoft Project, A MUST
- Knowledge of military programs from specifications through testing.
- Applicant must be able to obtain Security Clearance.
- Experience reading engineering prints and evaluating Bills of Materials.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Cameras and optical sensors knowledge preferred
- Familiarity with AS9100 preferred.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Provide strong technical management for cross-functional groups assigned to the development, manufacture, assembly, test, verification, application, and service of company product lines.
- Direct all phases of program planning and execution for Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Test teams.
- Establish program plans and objectives to achieve cost-effective and schedule-effective execution to program requirements.
- Define and manage the program schedule to the critical path and resources available.
- Define and manage budgets following contractual obligations; determine the technical skills and staff hours required.
- Identify technical issues and develop resolution plans that assure complete customer satisfaction through all contract process stages.
- Work with customers to resolve any quality, warranty, delivery, or commercial issues.
- Regularly provide management with program updates, including work and schedule flow status.
- Interact with external suppliers, machine shops, and vendors to ensure that their projected deliveries are responsive to the program schedule.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation to meet contractual requirements.
- Prepare proposals, including the technical content, cost estimates, terms, and conditions, in response to customer RFP’s for equipment or services.
- Provide assistance to other team members and departments as needed.
