Safety Manager is the point person for OSHA compliance, workers compensation claims, general liability claims, machine safeguarding and inspections.
The Safety Manger is key to developing and maintaining a strong safety culture throughout the company.Responsibilities:Develop and drive a comprehensive, multi-year strategy for the company, focusing on culture change and safety excellence.Conducts safety meetings, audits and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.Maintains a compliance training schedule for LOTO, blood borne pathogens, first aid/CPR, overhead crane and forklift certifications.Responsible for conducting investigations for injuries and accidents, filing workers compensation claims and facilitate return to work programs.Analyzes incident reports, metrics and injury case studies in order to institute changes that lead to a safer environment.Handles all auto and general liability claims though to resolution.Maintains accurate and current records in accordance with guidelines.Qualifications:Minimum QualificationsStrong knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.
OSHA certification.Intimate knowledge of lock-out/tag-out, electrical safety, respiratory protection, hearing protection, confined spaces, fall protection, ergonomics, HAZMAT.5 or more years’ experience successfully leading safety in a manufacturing environmentValid driver’s licensePreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety or related fieldCertified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)Knowledge of DOT regulationsASI Inc.
