ACTIVE DIRECTORY SYSTEMS SNR ENG WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Systems Engineer – Active Directory is responsible for the oversight, administration, and engineering of the Active Directory (AD) environment for City National Bank.
We are looking for individuals eager for the opportunity to be part of a team who strives for the improvement of process efficiency by leveraging opportunities for automation.
The Systems Engineer is considered to be a technical expert, providing guidance around AD design and follows industry best practices alongside bank standards towards solution implementation.
The ideal candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of AD in a hybrid cloud environment and all associated components related to the technology.
The individual will contribute to projects as well as provide operational support for any AD related issues.
The individual also ensures accuracy around the documentation of the relevant systems.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
* Deliver and implement a secure, scalable, and resilient Active Directory design, following industry best practices while adhering to Information Security standards.* Provide technical assistance and escalation support for all troubleshooting tasks related to AD, including but not limited to integration with Windows and non-Windows endpoints, authentication, role based access controls, DNS, DHCP, etc.* Manage the environment proactively, anticipating risks and issues, designing and engineering for resiliency.
Take technical ownership of projects and systems accordingly.* Facilitate the implementation of Group Policy Objects (GPO) based on stated requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve any GPO related issues which arise.* Accountable for the management, uptime, and lifecycle of the bank’s Active Directory forests, domains and Domain Controllers.* Identify areas for improvement and maturation of existing processes and procedures by leveraging scripting and automation.
Keep abreast of new market developments, learnings and practices.
Demonstrate continuous improvement.* Partner with the Information Security Access Management teams to ensure adherence to the AD Security Standards of City National Bank.* Monitor and identify replication interruptions between domain controllers.* Management of the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems and certificates.* Proactively analyze and isolate issues.* Take a creative solutioning approach to problem solving and debugging to resolve system related issues.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Must-Have* * Bachelor’s Degree Equivalent Experience Or* Minimum 6 years of experience working in an Information Technology or Information Security role of increasing responsibility.* Minimum 5 years of experience designing and supporting Active Directory Domains/Forests.* Minimum 5 years of experience working in environments consisting multiple domains and forest trusts.* Minimum 5 years of scripting and PowerShell experience* Minimum 2 years of experience with Azure AD or Azure Directory Services Skills and Knowledge * Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)* Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate* Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate* Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows Active Directory design and support.* Expert knowledge of Windows Server (2008 to current) and Workstation (Windows 7 to current) Operating Systems.* Working knowledge on UNIX, Linux and Mac OS* Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform, Azure AD or Azure Directory Services* Team Player with proven leadership, communication, organizational, and strong interpersonal skills.
The role requires significant interaction with many different teams across a global company.* Expert knowledge in creating PowerShell and other scripting languages to deliver automated changes/fixes.* Expert knowledge of lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), Kerberos, and other methods of integration* Ability to efficiently prioritize and organize competing work demands with little oversight.* Working knowledge in reviewing vulnerability bulletins/findings and providing recommended mitigation and impact assessments related to Active Directory.* Experience in creating documentation, Visio diagrams, workflows, etc.* Individual must interact extensively with all levels of employees, management, business and IT, and is required to act in a professional and confident manner.* Strong customer service skills to deliver quality results in a demanding environment.* Able to work well under pressure and within short time constraints.* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.* Able to be on call 24×7 to troubleshoot and resolve Active Directory related issues.* Familiar with standard desktop and server security best practices.* Strong understanding of network/software configuration management.* Experience in windows SCCM deployment and patching solutions a plus.* Working knowledge of Chef configuration management tool is a plus.
