Accounts Payable Supervisor

This position provides an opportunity to work with the North American affiliate of Seiko Epson Corporation (SEC) located in Epson America corporate headquarters in Los Alamitos, CA. The Supervisor, Accounts Payable is responsible for guiding, directing and coaching an accounts payable team to achieve performance objectives while working in a hybrid environment. The Supervisor, Accounts Payable will be expected to offer suggestions and help lead process improvements and interact with management at various levels and functions.This position is part of Epson’s hybrid work schedule.Accounts Payable Operations* Provides day-to-day supervision and leadership to accounts payable team.* Assures proper review and validation of requests for vendor payments* Maintain current in depth understanding of SAP and related systems supporting the processing of accounts payable* Ensure the adequacy of monthly accruals for assigned expenses* Maintains current documentation of policies and procedures and identifies process efficiencies. Facilitate ongoing staff training and development as needed* Support the administration of the employee expense reimbursement process (Concur)* Supports the proper recording of fixed assets processed through accounts payable* Review and validate requests for vendor master creation/changes before submissionFinancial Analysis and Reporting* Supports monthly reporting requirements* Monitors and reports on departmental Key Performance Indicators* Ensures that assigned monthly reconciliations are completed accurately and timelyRelationship Management* Responsible for motivating, evaluating, and developing accounts payable personnel* Provides coaching and mentoring to team members* Builds strong relationships with peers and Senior ManagersRequired Skills and Experience:* Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience* Experience managing a team (direct reports)* Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems required* Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Accounting, Finance, or Business)* Strong Excel skills preferredEpson America, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action EmployerAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability and protected veteran status, as well as any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
