Accounts Payable Supervisor

Description • Monitor and process ~600-700 invoices per week.• Process invoices along with the preparation of supporting documents (i.e. purchase orders, receiving documents, check requests and invoice). Reviews quantity, pricing and terms by reference to purchase orders, receiving/packing slips.• Manage disbursements and ensure accounts payable liabilities are paid in a timely manner.• Monitor AP email Inbox to respond and resolve urgent issues or requests.• Oversee weekly check, ACH, wire run.• Responsible for weekly and monthly various reports.• Maintains vendor master files in computer software application.• Assist with ME close processes (i.e. accruals)• Assist with 1099 reporting.• Assists with external audit requests.• Evaluate and prioritize workflow to ensure development and motivation of team members.• Perform various administrative responsibilities in supporting the daily departmental operations.• Maintain departmental policies, procedures, regulations.• Lead, mentor train, and develop current Account Payables staff.• Responsible for special projects and other duties as assigned.Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B. S.) or equivalent from four-year college in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of accounts payable experience. 4 years of experience with managing a team within accounts payable.
