Accounts Payable Manager

Our client, an innovative apparel company, seeks a highly motivated Accounts Payable (A/P) Manager to join a company doing extraordinary work, with a relaxed and inclusive company culture.

This is an on-site, interim opportunity.

Pay – Hourly compensation ranges between $35-$45/hour depending on qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE A/P MANAGER

Accounts Payable

  • Participate in all Financial closes and performing A/P analysis
  • Supervise the inputting of Journal Entries and Account Reconciliations
  • Supervise the matching, batching, and coding of invoices
  • Engage in dispute resolution regarding billing
  • Authorize immediate processing of payment due to client need
  • Ensure all A/P procedures comply with all relevant Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls
  • Research all disputed payment issues with all relevant vendors
  • Accept all ad hoc duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE A/P MANAGER

Required

  • At least five (5) years of Accounts Payable experience
  • Managerial and/or supervisory experience

Preferred

  • BA in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Work experience in an apparel environment

SKILLS OF THE A/P MANAGER

Required

Technical

  • Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, and IF formulas)
  • Oracle r12

Interpersonal

  • Analytical thinking and inquisitive; involvement with system and process improvement
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service essential in this collaborative work environment
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced company environment with minimal direction
  • Takes initiative, is actionable, and follows up
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

· Proficiency with ERP systems
