The Account Supervisor is responsible for designing and implementing strategies to build award-winning total market and multicultural campaigns, maximize reach through mass market, Asian American, and social media, events and activations that drive ROI.
This role will require the candidate to have experience and expertise in both the Asian American and general consumer markets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Publicity/Social Media/Influencer
Design, lead, and implement publicity strategies that align with client goals Lead planning and execution of publicity campaigns for multiple accounts Pitch traditional and online media outlets for coverage
· Remain up to date with the latest news and social media trends by reviewing the trades daily
Maintain a high awareness of pop culture, industry trends and technologies Comprehend and actively navigate the total market and Asian American press landscape Research benchmark trends and audience preferences related to the industry and multicultural communities Participate in key account group brainstorms, strategy and creative sessions, contributing digital/ interactive/ media/influencer ideas Design and deliver training and skills development for local teams Set specific objectives and report on KPIs Implement integrated strategies and best practices across various media and social platforms Educate pertinent staff on the latest trends, techniques, and developments in public relations and digital marketing.
Serve as a main point of contact for multiple clients Create and execute mediable and content-able campaigns
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Assist in preparing and presenting to prospective new clients Engage in professional and community organizations related to the agency’s and client’s business/industry Participate in other duties as assigned
MINIMUM JOB REQUIRMENTS:
Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or a related field of study
Experience:
Minimum of 5-8 years professional work experience with clients and developing business within an award-winning public relations, marketing, advertising or digital agency Minimum of 5 years in a client-facing managerial role or above Relevant experience in media and influencer relations Relevant experience across key social media properties including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, blogs, etc.
Content distribution expertise spanning owned, earned, and paid digital channels Played a key role in notable campaigns
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have excellent client relations/people skills Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and editing) Possess a deep understanding of the Asian American landscape Highly developed strategic, planning and creative PR skills Understanding of the entertainment and Asian American media landscape Understanding of creative aesthetics and attention to detail in all creative matters Must possess good organizational skills, demonstrated initiative, flexibility, sound judgment and a positive attitude Must possess ability to multi-task and effectively manage deadlines Ability to create budgets and monitor expenditures Ability to play a critical role in pitching reporters Proficiency in all basic software (i.e., MS Office) and social media platforms Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications Strong media contacts and understanding of modern media landscape Commitment to getting the job done (aka willing to work long hours when necessary) Must be willing and able to travel A sense of humor; flexibility Multicultural knowledge and experience highly preferred Proficient Chinese Language Skills preferred (Speaking/Reading/Writing)
