Account Manager

The BrainTrust is looking for an Account Manager to manage our vast range of clients as we drive their digital/social media objectives forward. Our client base necessitates an account manager who has an interest in beauty, fashion, elevated lifestyles, entertainment and having fun. As an Account Manager focused on digital/social media, influencer relations, content creation and digitally activated events; you will work with our stellar team to manage not just social media, but also contribute to the development of strategy and execution across all client digital marketing channels and in real life events.

This role requires confidence to advise clients on industry trends, ways to harness different technology solutions and ways to optimize their budgets to drive long-term value. This is also a managerial role, leading a seasoned team of community managers, content creators, and influencer experts.

Given your experience at a digital/social media, PR, or marketing agency, you will also help to build our client services capabilities, drive new business, and have a focus on agency growth. 

The Account Manager should be comfortable managing small to medium sized accounts and sometimes larger accounts as the primary point person for the client but will still have senior leadership for gut checking, oversight, setting the strategy, and high-level client meetings. 

They are proficient at understanding integrated digital strategies and know how to get results, exceed client expectations, think creatively for a client, as well as ensure the client and internal teams are happy.

The Account Manager must be a self starter, flexible, equally prepared and equipped to work remotely, independently or in a group setting. We are looking for someone who can thrive off getting things done, yet are able to make sure they have an adequate work life balance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage execution and performance of social and programmatic campaigns through the full account management lifecycle including kick-off meetings, client relationship management, strategy implementation, and campaign optimization
  • Advise clients on industry trends and the competitive landscape to help them achieve their goals and uncover opportunities to drive long-term value
  • Partner with our development team on proposal responses, capabilities presentations, and marketing efforts
  • Offer ongoing expert advice for clients on social strategy, implementation, and reporting
  • Create long-and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines and allocating resources for accounts
  • Delegate tasks on each account to employees and contractors best positioned to complete them
  • Be the point of contact between the clients and the BrainTrust team and manage information flow as well as updates between both parties
  • Anticipate your clients’ needs, continuously developing creative ways to improve the client’s social media presence and overall goals.
  • Take extensive, detailed, organized notes during on-boardings of new clients
  • Format information for internal and external communications – emails, proposals, presentations, reports, etc.
  • Be a self-starter. This position works flexibly, and we don’t believe in micro-managing. Understand that you will have very frequent interactions with the rest of the team on a daily basis to carry out the job.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Self-starter is a must
  • 4+ years of digital/social media, PR, or marketing agency; agency experience is preferred
  • Thorough understanding of social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest, and Snapchat
  • Client-facing and client management experience
  • Strong data analysis abilities (Excel, Google sheets, and their basic functions)
  • Experience managing a range of client verticals – beauty, fashion, and entertainment are a plus
  • Flexible, versatile, and driven to obtain new skills and scale knowledge to take on uncharted territory
  • Collaborator who works well with internal teams, partner agencies, freelancers and clients
  • Capacity to manage high stress situations
  • Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
  • Ability to work with strong personalities and be able to accept fast direct feedback and course correct quickly.
