ACCESS (Advanced Critical Care, Emergency and Specialty Services) Los Angeles: Overnight Veterinary Hospital Manager

In this role, you are responsible for upholding the principles of Quality, Integrity, Compassion and Service in all interactions.

The Overnight Manager is a 5 days/week, salary/ exempt position reporting directly to the Hospital Administrator.Pay Range: $60,000 70,000/year commensurate with experienceDuties and Responsibilities:Oversee all individuals working swing and overnight shifts to ensure their work product is excellentReceive, review and resolve problems or concerns brought up regarding the performance of the client care and technical staffResponsible for handling all client/ doctor grievances during overnight hoursOversight of technical staff performance, ensuring quality control and consistency of technical staff completionOversight of client care staff performance, ensuring quality control and consistency of client service task completionPerformance of staff review on a regular basis to ensure staff members are provided clear expectations and understand how to perform compared to expectationsAs needed, perform employee counseling, reprimands, or give accolades.

Provide guidance and direction to all overnight team members, including setting performance standards and monitoring performanceCommunicate with Purchasing and Technician Manager on equipment performance and maintenance to ensure necessary functionalityWork closely with the entire administrative team to ensure consistent practices throughout all shiftsCommunicate any performance and / or behavioral concerns of the doctors to the Hospital Administrator and Medical Director to be addressedAct as primary person for resource management for overnight staffThe ability to train overnight staff in various areas of client service and technical capacities pertinent to working on those shiftsCoordinate any overnight facility management efforts as assignedEnsuring the Cubex is stocked sufficiently throughout the nightOversee smooth transfer of patients from swing to overnight to morning shiftsResponsible for making sure the overnight staff is adequately informed about any new important informationResponsible for rolling out any new protocols and / or procedures to ensure consistency throughout all shiftsMotivate and inspire the overnight team members to provide high quality care to the patients and clients of ACCESS, while working to ensure that actions support the hospital, doctors and the hospital principles of Quality, Integrity, Compassion and ServiceQualifications:Must have detailed knowledge of the Client Care and Technical staff job functions and workflow systemsMust possess excellent communication and leadership skillsMust have prior Management experienceMust have schedule flexibility between the hours of 3PM and 6AM all 7 days a week and some holidaysSafety First: At ACCESS, the safety and health of our employees is of highest priority as we implement safety protocols to consider the impact of Coronavirus.With competitive salaries and benefits, make ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospitals your next step in your veterinary careerBenefits Include:401k, health, dental, visionPet Perks100% paid parental leaveBereavementEmployee Assistance Programs
