Overview Serves as the business consultant and coach to Field Consultants, Store Managers or Franchisees to provide world class customer service, optimal product selection for the customer that grows sales and maximizes profitability.

Primary representative to store operators providing guidance, consultation and direction regarding implementation of business strategy and system, programs and initiatives.

ResponsibilitiesReceives training in functions and operations of related departments to facilitate subsequent transferability between departments.Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with Franchisees, Store Managers and their staffs.Enhances the customer experience by providing prompt, efficient and courteous customer service that exceeds the customer’s expectations.Coaches and motivates field consultants to increase sales and ensure efficiency to promote good customer relations.Responds to customer complaints and compliments when necessary.Utilizes effective interpersonal skills to facilitate business plans.Accountable for maximization of profits and company assets and is responsible for short and long term planning in areas of goal setting and team development within the Market.Establishes annual budget guidelines for the Market with approval of Zone Leader.OperationsReviews market annual plans, including operating budgets, staffing plans, marketing plans, real estate plans and capital expenditures.Ensures that the company’s policies are communicated and implemented.Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with franchisees, operations and regulatory support.Maintains proficiency as a subject matter expert on store operations.Demonstrates competency on all aspects of operations, including current knowledge of procedural or systems changes in order to provide effective guidance for store operations.Plans, organizes and provides leadership/management for profitable daily operations of stores in market, using current sales and planning tools.Obstacle resolution, Gate keeping, works in field and in stores.Models 7-Eleven Servant Leadership for Field Business Consultants, Store Operators and Franchisees, while partnering with human resources to identify talent, develop capabilities and leadership in others, building bench strength and creating a high performing and high potential team to be able to assess core store functions including ordering, product assortment and placement, store environment, employee development and financial performance.Review store data (orders, forecasts, sales, out-of-stocks, write-offs, merchandising/displays) with Franchisee/Store Manager, and collaborate to identify opportunities and priorities.Responsible for maintaining and presenting the 7-Eleven image in the local market to include contacts with community relations, key legislative leaders and charitable organizations.Build capability of Field Consultants to analyze and maximize sales and profit by ensuring all zone merchandise programs are implemented, including proper stock levels, layouts and displays in accordance with policy, proper pricing and coding, proper rotation, etc.Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitor local competitors.Use technology to monitor implementation and ongoing results of market improvement plans.Support the removal of identified obstacles.Follow up to ensure timely resolution.Monitor performance progress with management and key trainers.Manage, coach and train corporate Field Consultants and Store Managers.Oversee all corporate operations, employment decisions, coaching/mentoring, training, performance reviews and compensation decisions within the Market.Provide continuous training and development of Certified Business Consultants, Field Consultants, Store Managers and Franchises.

Prioritizes coaching.Does real-time coaching in store, utilizing coaching processes for broad spectrum.Brings processes to life such as the planning, execution and verification phases of the QV process.Collaborate with other Market Managers and functional support including but not limited to analysis of merchandising activities, presentation at market meetings, implementation of market-wide initiatives, and current activities towards building and maintaining store sales and profits.Partners with development teams to promote the expanding retail business in the community.QualificationsEducation: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree Food handler’s license as required by local jurisdictionsExperience: 3-5 years, Multi-unit Corp/FZ C-store, grocery, merchandising and/or food service industry.Exceptional effective communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, coaching.Detailed understanding of management of retail, grocery or food service.Detailed understanding of financial analysis, P& L and strategic planning.Strong organization, analytical, creative and time management skills.Strong problem solving and group work leadership skills.This job description is subject to change at any time.
