1199SEIU Family of Funds: Project Coordinator

Responsibilities Assist communications team in developing and implementing communications strategy and support the preparation of project plansCoordinate with external vendors and communication logistics and assist in collateral material development and source event related promotional itemsCreate and maintain calendars, budgets, guest lists and updated contactsCreate reference database to house all event contract and vendor details; develop and maintain weekly status reports for department Managers and DirectorSchedule content and follow-up meetings with Training and Employment Fund staff, leadership and events committeesProvide administrative support to communications and events team (i.E.

draft and send emails, follow up with staff and leadership team and maintain inventory logsOversee preparation of event materials including signage, notebooks registration, speaker invitation, etc.Assist Consultants with Social Media posts (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram)Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Communications, English or other relevant fields, or equivalent years of work experience requiredMinimum two (2) years’ experience in administrative and project management requiredIntermediate skill level in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint required and Excel preferredExperience working in a unionized, not for profit or health care setting preferredStrong project and time management skills with event planning preferredStrong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work both independently and as a team playerExcellent organizational skills with ability to work under deadline pressure
