Truck/Lowboy Driver

Job Description: Road Builders, an Arcosa Company, is searching for a Truck Driver for our Greenville, KY plant.

In this role you will support a positive safety culture by directing the activities and staff within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards.

As a Mobile Equipment Operator, you will operate equipment and other duties as directed.

Road Builders was founded in 1948 as a post WWII aggregate supplier.

We began operations in our current form in 1988, when the company was integrated to include earth moving and pavement divisions.

Our current scope of operations include the production and sale of crushed stone and asphalt pavements.

What you’ll do: Take an active role in prioritizing safety for yourself and others at all times in accordance with company standards while operating equipment in and out of the plant.

Operate dump truck to haul and transport loose materials such as hot mix asphalt, sand, gravel, crushed rock, and/or other materials.

May operate equipment within the plant/jobsites to load/off-load materials.

Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with company standards.

Complete daily mobile equipment reports and other relevant documentation with accuracy.

Must be able to handle and understand Department of Transportation regulations, keeping all documentation up to date.

Maintain equipment performance by checking vehicle fluid levels, and assist in performing other minor maintenance.

Report unsafe mechanical conditions to your supervisor.

Monitor your surroundings when operating equipment in and out of the plant/jobsites and on the highways and report any necessary maintenance or adjustments that may be required to ensure safety.

What you’ll need: Valid CDL license, which must be maintained.

Good driving record.

Minimum of two years truck driving experience.

Experience with trucks equipped with a third axle preferred.

Must adhered to company policy regarding pre-employment activities e.g.

drug screen and physical.

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructed furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concreate variables in standardized situations.

Ability to get along with others and have a positive attitude.

Present a professional image as an employee.

Ability to maintain composure in stressful traffic or other situations.

Ability to work Saturday as needed to support construction operations.
