We are currently recruiting for a Truck Driver for our client located in Milwaukee, WI 1st Shift (6:00AM/7:00AM-2:00PM/5:00PM) Direct hire position Union position with benefits $ 20.00-$25.00/hr OT is available 45-50hrs/wk $1500 sign on bonus and drivers are eligible for a quarterly performance incentive of $400 JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES:
• Must have Class A CDL.
They do local runs so are home every night.
• This is not tractor-trailer driver work
– this is driving lugger and roll-off trucks
• Some ratcheting work which requires upper body strength
– ultimately, it’s connecting chains and closing doors on the equipment for load securement
– not a large majority of the job, it is a small portion of the job Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED required.
Class A CDL
• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills required.
Timely follow up is critical in this position.
Communications must be detailed, respectful and constructive.
• Must be able to operate computer, calculator, cellphone and two-way radio.
• Familiarity heavy mobile equipment such as forklifts, loaders, and material separators a plus
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30-50 pounds.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel to communicate and track information.
• Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license.
