The role focuses on the analysis of US solar, wind and energy storage assets and how developers plans will drive activity in the region. Leveraging public source data and building relationships with companies, your role is to provide strategic insight to our customers through your contribution to our research offerings.You will be expected to analyze data, provide written commentaries on key industry trends and present at key conferences. You will develop a strong network and deep understanding of the industry.Candidates with very strong analytical skills and some years of power analyst experience will be preferred. The role focuses on understanding the market dynamics of North American power markets. This includes: Analyzing policies on renewable energy and decarbonization of the power sector and understanding their impact on the long-term power mix. Following market fundamentals and price developments. Having thorough knowledge of key power markets (such as ERCOT, PJM, CAISO) Analyze the key challenges of the region’s power systems: need for transmission infrastructure developments, integration of storage systems, issues caused by intermittency, etc. Perform commercial and economic evaluations of all electricity sources including NPV, LCOE and breakeven analysis Contribute to the development of long-term price forecasts Obtain and analyze data related the US solar, wind & energy storage Follow the activities of renewable companies to ensure sure our data on these companies is up to date Analyze and comment on power price trends and drivers Identify and determine the impact of external factors such as prices, M&A, geopolitics & policy etc. Build and maintain a network of contacts with operators, service companies and government bodies Write insightful commentaries and reports on industry trends Present at internal and external industry events and via webinars Support our external clients, Consultants and business development team Requirements 5-10 years of relevant work experience with both industry network and business intelligence research experience University degree in a data driven field such as electrical, engineering, economics or information technology Solid analytical and problem-solving skills Strong oral and written communication skills Fluent in English; other languages are a plus Self-motivated, proactive and independent as well as a strong team player Knowledge and genuine interest in renewables and power Leadership experience is also a plus Benefits Opportunity to join a globally leading energy knowledge house A global and quickly expanding international business culture A diverse, dynamic and highly skilled working environment Competitive compensation package and bonus plan Flexible spending account for healthcare and dependent care 410 (k) employer match up to 5% Four weeks’ vacation per year Community impact activities
