Meticulous pickups and deliveries need to be triple checked before you resume cruising down the highway no cupcake left behind.
We require you to understand how to use GPS and have the ability to download APPS on your smart phone device as needed.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Build relationships with events, event coordinators and local businesses.
Always be friendly accommodating and direct.
Transport finished goods and raw materials / finished goods over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail, distribution centers, public stops & private events.
Inspectvehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance tests.
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules on time with product in tact, safely.
Responsible for scheduling meal breaks around event times / abiding by laws,responsible for one’s self in clocking in & out.
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations,parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions while on public streets & events in a timely & safe manner Collect and verify delivery instructions of events / clients, understand event & instructions before driving.
Report defects, accidents or violations Fold boxes & organize on tray for easy take out when returning to shop Always be sales focused & driven, hitting sales goals will be noted for reviews.
Wipe down (with windex & rag): service window, counters, shelves, driver section, outside/inside windows, dirty spots on truck, sticky drinks, trash cans, inside freezer, inside fridge, walls Organize ice creams on freezer shelves by flavor & date (oldest in front) Condense cupcakes on trays, Restock drinks Always check in with kitchen manager and get side work before leaving for each shift / items will be left on truck table for pick up.
Update ‘Restock List, Refill napkins, forks, spoons Wipe down (with windex & rag) Menu sign & sandwhich board signs Willingness to perform assigned job duties as given, Indoor events, private events,in store.
Quality control Ability to look at product when loading and ready to serve to make sure product meets company standards before serving fix if possible Qualifications Proven work experience as a good driver, clean record no accidents Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, Smart phones,Routes) Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of sales & marketing, great peopleskills No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather, conditions etc) Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations Great communication skills with customers & off site management Personal Requirements Must have strong work ethic and reliability Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment Ability to work effectively within a team Proficiency with Driving, POS systems, and customer oriented Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed, get in and out of a large truck, able to squat and stand for long periods of time.
