As a professional Class A, truck driver, you will be responsible for the successful and timely delivery shipping containers to the various port of Oakland as well as other facilities in which the Adams Group conducts business.
Truck drivers must always obey all safety protocols, follow all instructions, and must possess a strong work ethic and have exemplary communication skills.
Responsibilities include:Safe operation and control of KenWorth T800 Trucks.Proper use of the Samsara ELD system by way of a mounted in can tablet.
(We will train new hires)Drive trucks weighing more than 24 tons including tractor/trailer combinationsManeuver trucks into loading and unloading positionsCouple or uncouple trailers and change landing gear positions, air, and electrical connections, and fifth-wheel locksPerform basic vehicle maintenance (refuel, oil, fluids, minor repairs, etc.)Pre-trip and post-trip truck inspectionsReport all issues or incidents to supervisor immediatelyCommunication and interpersonal skills to work as a team Requirements:Two Years Truck Driving experienceValid Class A Drivers License.TWIC card (Mandatory for port drayage)No Dui or felony convictions less than three years oldHard work ethic, integrity, and responsible attitudeVerbal written and CommunicationAbility to follow safety procedure and protocol
