BENEFITSHealth, Dental & Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceLong Term DisabilityLong term CareFlexible spending benefit options including qualified transportation401(K) retirement plan with a 4% employer match after qualificationGenerous Paid Time Off11 Paid HolidaysEducation Assistance ProgramWHAT YOU’LL DO:Wayfinder Family Services (Wayfinder), is currently seeking a Teacher for our Nonpublic Special Education School who will be responsible for implementing an individualized, comprehensive program for our students who are multi-disabled and blind or visually impaired.You will implement an individualized, comprehensive program based on the Critical Skills Model while focusing on the student’s development of compensatory skills and self-esteem.You will participate in educational assessment by using selected tools, involving parents, designated instructional service staff, and other relevant individuals.You will develop students’ Individualized Educational Programs (IEP) with the assessment team based on assessment findings and priorities identified by parents.You will be responsible for providing instructional activities, which are age-appropriate, functional, motivating and which reflect IEP goals.You will provide diverse learning opportunities such as community-based instruction, daily living skills, arts and crafts, music and movement, vocational, social integration, swimming and recreational activities.WHAT YOU NEED:Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.Must have a California Specialist Credential in one of the following: Visual Impairment, Moderate to Severe Disabilities, Severely Handicapped, or currently enrolled in a traditional or internship credential program in one of the above content areas.CBEST certificate required.
