JOB SUMMARY We are seeking dedicated educators to provide high-quality instruction within a supportive, small school environment where every student is known and valued. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Foster a culture of high expectations, believing in every student’s potential to attend college. Develop and implement lesson plans and classroom activities aligned with California State Standards and our Instructional Guidelines. Regularly assess students and analyze results to refine and differentiate instruction based on data and individual needs. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and share best practices. Communicate regularly with students and their families about classroom activities and student progress. Engage parents and guardians as partners in their children’s education. Manage student behavior to ensure full engagement from every student. Actively participate in professional development activities and work closely with lead teachers, principals, and instructional coaches. Maintain accurate student records, including attendance. Identify unique student needs and collaborate with team members to address those needs effectively. Support our mission, vision, and core values. Perform other related duties as required and assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Competencies: Understanding of child cognitive development and various learning styles Knowledge of subject matter, including California State Standards and subject-specific frameworks Familiarity with assessments Ability and willingness to implement our Instructional Guidelines and Best Practices Capability to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data Openness to reflect on and improve instructional practices Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and the community Educational Level & Certifications/Licensure: Bachelor’s Degree K-8 Single Subject: Music Credential preferred; 9-12 Single Subject: Music required English Language Learner Authorization required for grades 9-12 NCLB Highly Qualified status required for K-12 Experience: 1+ year of experience working with students as a teacher, teacher intern, or teaching assistant preferred Physical Requirements: Moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces Remaining stationary, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving between worksites Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work Communicating with others to exchange information Repeating motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers Work Authorization Requirements: Clear the Department of Justice background screening Authorized to work in the United States Provide health (TB) clearance (renewed every four years) WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment is typical of an office, classroom, or school setting. We have implemented a Remote Work policy, and this position may require periodic travel to school sites to interact with school leaders.
