The Lower School Music & Theater Teacher is responsible for providing instruction, leadership and
supervision to students and parents for music and theater productions throughout the
year. They will instruct students in the subject areas of theater including music, choreography and stage direction.
Experience working with lower elementary school students is preferred.
The Music & Theater Teacher Responsibilities include:
- Provide an interactive learning environment that incorporates public speaking and singing opportunities
- Set up dates, times, location for performances and practices
- Hire independent contractors as needed
- Attend and oversee rehearsals
- Provide administrative oversight for music & theater productions
- Effectively manage program forms, records and student contracts
- Attend all required meetings as needed
- Meet regularly with parent coordinators as well as independent contractors hired for production
- Complete required paperwork and documentation
- Communicate regularly regarding meetings, practices and performances.
