In House Substitute Teacher (Temp.)ObjectiveEdnovate is seeking to build a team of flexible and results focused In-House Substitute Teachers to build the capacity for daily class coverage across our six campuses. In-House Substitute Teachers will provide academic support for students across multiple subject areas to ensure that 100% of our students are on track to complete college or are on a stable career path. Our mission is to close the college attainment gap at a scale larger than the average California school district (11 schools) and impact America’s high school report card.ResponsibilitiesImplement college prep lesson plans, grade classwork, assign homework, and administer tests/examsProactively and professionally community with teammates, parents, and community membersDeliver important announcements regarding homework, school activities and eventsEnsure a positive learning environment through effective classroom managementSupervise students during transitions to and from class, at lunch, and at dismissal Make use of instructional strategies based on the diverse needs of all studentsAnalyze data effectively to drive and inform instructionUphold high expectations for students academic achievement and conductWe’re Looking For:1+ years of teaching experience with a strong record of improving student learningA BA or BS DegreePreferred: Passing score on the California Basic Skills Test (CBEST) or current California Emergency Teaching Certificate (30 Day Sub Permit)We’re Committed to Giving You:An hourly rate of $32 per hourA place to grow, learn and be a part of the Ednovate family!
