Position Type: Elementary School TeachingDate Posted: 3/7/2022Location: Alpha Omega AcademyDate Available: 08/01/2022Closing Date: until filledGrammar School Classroom Teacher Position Purpose Under the general supervision of the Head of Grammar, to facilitate student success and growth in biblical, academic, and interpersonal skills and understanding through implementing approved curriculum; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
Essential Functions Disciple and train students to love God and love their neighbor.
Teaches all subjects with a biblical foundation and integrates Scripture throughout grammar curriculum.
Utilizes classical pedagogical methodology.
Develops and administers grammar school curriculum consistent with school goals and objectives.
Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction Conducts individual and small group instruction as needed.
Continues to acquire professional knowledge of the educational field by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings.
Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by school procedures.
Encourages parental involvement in students’ education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.
Ensures that student conduct conforms with the school’s standards and establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve an acceptable learning atmosphere in the classroom.
Coordinates with other grammar professional staff members, especially within grade level, to evaluate and assess curriculum, and participates in faculty meetings.
Meets standards for teachers as outlined in teacher contract.
Additional Duties Performs other related tasks as assigned by administrators as designated by the Headmaster.

Qualifications Profile Teaching certificate preferred but not required.
Education Bachelors from an accredited college or university Experience Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels a plus.
