1st Grade Teacher – AAJP

Position: 1st Grade Teacher Reports to: Executive Director Salary Range: DOE Minimum Qualifications Required: Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree.

Experience Required: Teaching experience preferred, but not required.

Certification Required: Valid Louisiana teaching certificate preferred; if not, enrollment in alternate certification required.

Ensures student growth and achievement in accordance with grade level.

Models the Athlos culture.

Responsible for tracking student attendance, behavioral issues and classroom events.

Participates in regular professional development.

Communicates with parent/guardians and the community professionally.

Communicates regularly with school leadership and other faculty to maximize effective instructional activities.

Participates in the school’s professional learning community to enhance learning objectives.

Meets professional obligations by honoring schedules and deadlines.

Any other assigned duties.
