Job Details: SALES TRAINING SPECIALIST – TREASURY MANAGEMENT

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

This position is responsible for creatively and skillfully conducting engaging training sessions. The trainer will maintain a suite of product-related training material and help develop speaker scripts, giving input on content developed. Furthermore, they will be responsible for analyzing training and development needs of internal and occasionally external support groups or clients. This includes both Treasury Management Sales Colleagues as well as Line of Business colleagues. This person will train SME’s ongoing and provide with tools necessary to disseminate to line colleagues. This person is required to have outstanding verbal communication and teaching skills. The successful candidate should be experienced in effective training and classroom instruction methodologies and presenting product-related source information as the SME. Candidate should also be well-versed in change management communication and training strategies.

Treasury Management Solutions Division
As a member of City National’s Treasury Management Solutions group, you will make a difference by delivering integrated technology solutions to help clients more efficiently manage their businesses and working capital. This group drives and supports the bank’s cash management products and services that won City National four of its 11 Greenwich Excellence Awards in 2018.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Schedule and facilitate learning programs with top facilitator ratings
  • Deliver classroom, webinar / virtual training workshops and host conference calls for the treasury management training curriculum
  • Ensure materials are up-to-date and relevant to guarantee a seamless experience for learners (e.g., course outline, presentation materials, handouts, communications, participant guide, leader guide, facilitator guide, etc.)
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, including Knowledge Learning Professional and Product Managers to understand new product offerings and / or enhancements and strategize on training methodology for Sales colleagues and various Lines of Business
  • Support collecting standardized metrics and evaluation processes across learning programs to ensure data driven approach when evaluating learning needs

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-Have*

  • H.S. Diploma
  • Minimum 5 years of Training or Adult teaching experience
  • Minimum 5 years of cash management sales experience in a financial services environment
  • Minimum 3 years Treasury Management experience

Skills and Knowledge

  • Communicates effectively and skillfully in both oral and written form
  • Eloquence, confidence and the ability to represent Treasury Management in a positive light
  • Ability to adjust content based on audience and develop logical materials that are easy to follow
  • Self-starter and innovator
  • Ability to conduct virtual learning experiences and engage a remote class, encourage dialogue, and elicit participation sessions
  • Ability to create and maintain learners’ engagement through instructor-led workshops
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of bank personnel
  • Strong personal computer skills including standard curriculum development formats
  • Possesses sound skills in needs assessment, objective setting, media use and training strategy
  • Strong project management skills to organize and schedule training sessions
  • CTP Certification from the Association for Financial Professionals
  • Previous training, facilitation, teaching or public speaking experience
