The Impact You’ll Make in this Role Provide field-based services for assigned territory and customers.
Serves as a liaison between Field Service, and Service Engineering, as the first level of escalation in solving complex technical problems.
Coordinates site planning and installation activities working with customer, vendors and local sales reps to ensure all aspects on planning are complete and accurate.
Provides remote or on-site direction and diagnostic assistance to customers and other service technicians in resolving highly complex or unusual system failures.
Exercises considerable latitude in developing service technicians through direct assistance, seminars, and involvement in emergency situations that may require the use of non-standard service techniques.
Leads and directs technicians, other analysts, and other members of cross-functional teams.

Here, you will make an impact by: Installing, troubleshooting and repairing assigned equipment including 3M Steri-vac Sterilizers in hospital and industrial environments Providing Preventative Maintenance (PM’s) Consulting to and providing In-Service training for customers Selling Sterilizers, Service agreements, charge service activities and generating sales leads on 3M products Manage van, parts & tools inventory Build positive customer relationships and deliver “best in class” service experiences Willingness to be on-call Company Vehicle This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.
Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: High school diploma, equivalent, or higher (completed and verified prior to start) Three (3) years of troubleshooting and repair of medical or industrial equipment experience in a private, public, government, or military environment Current, valid driver’s license Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or other technical field (completed and verified prior to start) Skills include strong troubleshooting skills, time and territory management, excellent communications (both written and verbal) and a strong desire for continuous learning.
Ability to work alone and be self-motivated Ability to push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
Travel: May include up to 50% domestic travel (Includes daily travel mostly within the territory with the potential for up to 40% overnight travel) Relocation: Relocation may be authorized.
Additional Requirements In this role, you may be required to enter healthcare or other third-party facilities.
