Position Summary: As the face to the customer, the Technical Sales Representative will research application requirements and present sealing solutions for products manufactured by AESSEAL to established and new customers.   Using knowledge based tools, you will find the best ways to communicate, educate and persuade customers to make objective choices in line with a strong value proposition for our product solutions.

As an AESSEAL Technical Sales Representative, you will build on-going client-based relationships in all types of process industries.   This will mean working remotely and independently, yet, you will not be alone.  Knowing you are backed up by over 1,800 employees worldwide, you will have unique tools to communicate with and support your customers and a strong commercial and technical support team behind you.  Resources on a web-based portal include application engineering knowledge databases accessed on a tablet making your time with a customer effective and impactful.

Preferred Education and Experience:   

  • Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree (preferred) from an accredited University.
  • 5 Years experience in sales of rotating equipment and/or sealing devices (preferred)

 

Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Establish and maintain customer relationships with prospective and existing customers.  
  • Be the initial face to the customer, research customer requirements, prepare quotations and proposals.  Build positive relationships.  
  • Prospect and network for new opportunities.  Work with a Business Development Team to penetrate new accounts.  Network and build vertical relationships throughout the customer hierarchy in order to understand the decision-making process.
  • Become knowledgeable about applications, industry standards and best practices in order to trouble-shoot and improve the reliability of rotating equipment.    Work closely with application engineering to develop sealing solutions. 
  • Maintain an application pipeline that addresses new business with existing customers and potential sales opportunities at new customers. 
  • Prepare an annual sales forecast and participate in annual business review meetings with all customers that purchase in excess of $ 100k per annum in your territory.   Coordinate business review meeting preparation with the Business Development Team.
  • Submit and document cost savings to customers to enunciate the total cost of ownership (TCO).    Listen to and provide feedback to customers to validate the benefit you and AESSEAL bring to the business relationship.
  • Coordinate and present on-going training for customers including lunch and learns, factory training and regional customer training.  Participate in site audits and translate equipment observations into solutions to the benefit of customers.    Prepare and make presentations and actively work with the customer through the ordering, delivery and commissioning process.
